Chiswick House Opening Days

Chiswick House opening days in 2008 will be Sunday-Wednesday inclusive, closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The season will open on 21st March 2008 (Good Friday).
The House will remain open until Wednesday 26th March and will then begin the weekly
opening days, starting on Sunday 30th March.


Garden Opening Times

The gardens are open daily from dawn to dusk (seasonal changes apply)
Chiswick House Opening Times

1st April-31st October 10 am-5 pm
Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holidays
(House closed Mondays and Tuesday)
The House closes at 2pm every Saturday

Tours of the House
Special guided tours take place within the house on every Sunday in the months
of May and September at 2.00 pm. The tours are free with paid admission to the villa.
1st November-23rd December and 1st-20th March pre-booked tours
(11 or more people) by appointment only.

Parking
Limited parking is available in the car park at the westbound A4 entrance.
Disabled visitors may park outside the house by arrangement

Facilities Details
Toilets: Adapted WC available
Exhibition: Access via ramp
Shop: Access via ramp

Access
Access to house is via gravel court yard. One step at entrance - ramp available.
Ground floor all level; first floor reached via spiral staircase or portico steps.
Weather permitting, stair climber is available to first floor.
Seats provided in video room, Dome Saloon and Lower Tribune.
One wheelchair available in house.

Access to Grounds
Level access on tarmac or gravel paths except for
Terrace Walk owing to gradient. Benches provided.

Visually Impaired Visitors
Audio tour included in admission price. Visitors to cellars should be accompanied;
steep steps and low ceilings. Barrels may be touched.

Hearing Impaired Visitors
Audio tour with hearing loop included in admission price.

Café
The café is situated to the right of the house (as viewed from the A316)
and is a popular place for the local community to gather.
On offer are a range of meals and snacks.

10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun only)

Road Access: via Burlington Lane (A316 - drop off only). Car park available off the westbound A4.
Train Access: Chiswick Overland station ½ mile from house; Turnham Green Tube ¾ mile from house.
Bus Access: London Transport services 190 Hammersmith to Richmond and E3 Greenford to Chiswick
